Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism and strengthens us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Through the laying on of hands and the anointing with Sacred Chrism by the bishop, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and empowered to live as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

Confirmation deepens our relationship with Christ, strengthens our bond with the Church, and calls us to bear witness to the Gospel through our words and actions. Rooted in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, this sacrament equips us to embrace our mission as active members of the Church.

At St. Margaret Mary Parish, young people typically prepare for Confirmation through our parish Faith Formation program. Adults seeking Confirmation are invited to participate in the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). Please contact the parish office for more information about either program.
