Institute for Catholic Formation

The Institute for Catholic Formation is the Diocese of Bridgeport’s center for faith formation. Its vision is a future when all are well-formed in their faith. It was founded in 2015 as The Leadership Institute, an outgrowth of the Diocese’s Fourth Synod, and took its current name in 2021.

The Institute equips parish leaders, catechists, ministry volunteers, families and anyone who wants to grow in their Catholic faith. It offers formation through online courses, in-person workshops and independent study.

What you’ll find:

Catechist formation: training and resources for those who teach the faith
Marriage and family formation: marriage preparation, parent formation and family resources
Liturgical formation: guidance for lectors, extraordinary ministers and more
LEAD™ online learning: self-paced courses for ministry and personal growth
A virtual library: articles, videos and tools for anyone curious about the Catholic faith

Whether you serve in a parish ministry or simply want to know your faith better, the Institute has something for you.
