Altar Servers

Altar servers are boys and girls who have received their First Holy Communion and assist the priest during the liturgy.

Servers help the Mass unfold with reverence and dignity. Depending on the celebration, they may carry the processional cross and candles, hold the Roman Missal for the priest, help prepare the altar and receive the gifts, and ring the bells at the consecration.

Serving at the altar is a wonderful way for young people to grow closer to Christ in the Eucharist, learn more about the Mass, and take an active part in the life of our parish. Parents who would like their child to serve can contact our coordinator to learn about training and scheduling.
