Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation restores us to communion with God and the Church through the forgiveness of sins committed after Baptism. In this sacrament, we encounter the mercy of Christ, receive His forgiveness, and are strengthened to live a renewed Christian life.
The sacrament includes four essential steps:
- Contrition – sincere sorrow for our sins.
- Confession – honestly confessing our sins to a priest.
- Absolution – receiving God's forgiveness through the ministry of the priest.
- Penance – completing the assigned penance and striving to grow in holiness.
The spiritual fruits of Reconciliation include peace of conscience, reconciliation with God and the Church, the restoration of grace, forgiveness of sins, and the strength to resist temptation and live more faithfully as disciples of Christ.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered after every morning Mass, Monday - Thursday, and on Saturdays from 3:30 to 4:15 PM
