Men's League
The object of the STMM Men's League shall be to unify the men of the parish for the purposes of:
Our Mission
Our Men’s League seeks to:
- Foster the spiritual growth of every member.
- Strengthen each member's connection to the parish through a deeper awareness of its mission, needs, and ministries.
- Encourage members to serve the parish whenever and wherever they are called.
- Provide opportunities for fellowship, friendship, and the exchange of ideas among the men of the parish.
Parish Service and Activities
The League serves the parish through many ministries and events, including:
- Parish assistance projects as needed.
- Operating the parish Bingo and Bingo Kitchen, a major fundraiser supporting parish maintenance and improvements.
- Installing the outdoor Christmas lights and Nativity (Crèche) display.
- Participating on the Parish Building Committee.
- Hosting Coffee and Donuts after all Masses on the first Sunday of each month to promote fellowship.
- Organizing and preparing the annual Parish Picnic.
- Administering the parish raffle.
Charitable Outreach
The League supports both parish and community needs through:
- Donations to charitable organizations and local causes.
- Support of the Birmingham Group's Bowl to Benefit for victims of violence.
- Participation in Wesley Village's Festival of Trees.
- Sponsoring the annual Veterans Coat Drive.
- Awarding a scholarship to a young male parishioner pursuing higher education.
Member Life
The League also enjoys opportunities for prayer, formation, and fraternity through:
- An annual spiritual retreat.
- Monthly dinner meetings.
- A memorial plaque in the parish hall honoring our deceased members.
